For about five years, Jing Chen, Psychology Professor, has been running a co-mentoring program in the Psychology Department called Grand Connections. The goals of this program are many, but the main goals are to connect students with older adults, to, in part, help combat ageism and show that both younger and older people have something in common, and can learn from each other. The program has been very successful in Psychology. However, the program is necessarily small because we do not have a lot of access to the necessary resources.
